A Message from our Honorary Co-chairs

Dear Friends,

This October 22nd thousands of Ohioans will donate their time and talent to meet needs in their communities: cleaning, building, educating, visiting, feeding, planting, collecting, caring…

Based on the largest national day of volunteering, Make A Difference Day Ohio (MDDO) is a public/private partnership that encourages volunteer service. We are proud to say that the Buckeye State has led the nation in projects each year since 2000; a total of 838 were reported in 2004 – a new record!

The Ohio Community Service Council and a statewide steering committee, representing over 40 organizations coordinate this national award-winning initiative. MDDO consists of a broad public awareness campaign, the development and dissemination of planning and promotional materials, and culminates with an award program for outstanding project organizers and volunteers.

We hope you will join your fellow citizens and participate in Make A Difference Day 2005.

Thank you for all you do. We truly can make a difference together!

Sincerely,

Hope Taft Jim Tressel
