A Message from our
Honorary Co-chairs
Dear Friends,
This October 22nd thousands of Ohioans will donate their time and talent
to meet needs in their communities: cleaning, building, educating, visiting,
feeding, planting, collecting, caring…
Based on the largest national day of
volunteering, Make A Difference Day Ohio (MDDO) is a public/private
partnership that encourages volunteer service. We are proud to say
that the Buckeye State has led the nation in projects each year
since 2000; a total of 838 were reported in 2004 – a new record!
The Ohio Community Service Council and a statewide steering committee,
representing over 40 organizations coordinate this national award-winning
initiative. MDDO consists of a broad public awareness campaign,
the development and dissemination of planning and promotional materials,
and culminates with an award program for outstanding project organizers
and volunteers. |

We hope you will join your fellow citizens and participate in Make A
Difference Day 2005.
Thank you for all you do. We truly can make a difference together!
Sincerely,
 |
