Welcome to our NEW SCRAPBOOK!
October 28, 2006:
Ohio's First Lady Hope Taft joined residents at three MDDO projects in Harrison
County. The events celebrated the Harrison County Quilt Barn project, which has
been underway for a year. To date, this community-wide effort has resulted in the
painting and installation of 20 “quilt squares†on barns throughout the county.
The squares are representative of quilts owned by Harrison County residents. This
year’s new quilt square is a replica of the Make A Difference Day Ohio logo on the
county’s Bicentennial Barn at the Harrison County Home (41500 Cadiz-Dennison Rd;
Cadiz, Ohio).
Mrs. Taft helped install the new MDDO Logo Quilt on the side of the Bicentennial
Barn at the Harrison County Home.

Brown County (Clark Township) Quilt Barn
2006 Resource Guide Correction:
(Brown County instead of Morgan County)
I was so pleased to see a picture of our Brown County (Clark Township) Quilt Barn
on your promotional materials for the 2006 Make a Difference Day Ohio. The pattern
is the "Lone Star" pattern. It is painted on the barn owned by Steve and Debbie
Friskney of Hamersville, Ohio. Our Brown County Quilt Barn Project was a part of
the Make a Difference Day Program with our Quilt Barn Project. We hope to have about
30 Quilt Barns painted in Brown County when we finish the project toward the end
of 2008.
